![]() ![]() Some systems use a different resetting scheme than others. I too have used a lot of different refillable carts for my two PRO 3800. Expensive,is often cheaper in the long run, person does what they think is best for themselves. Post above suggests a resetter is available for the OEM chips, no point for me.įolks that I follow in this forum have purchased other brands since, and would seem to have the same opinion of their choice, leads me to think on wristwatches, most folks have one, just some keep on keeping on, others need replacing from time to time. If there is any doubt, I have mini scales and just weigh, takes seconds, and tells me EXACTLY to the 1/10th gram where I am. I got good results from the get go, so I'm more than happy and confident to say after 2 years, many refills, and visual check only, no problems, but then I am prepared to get off my butt, walk around the desk and lift the lid on the printer cart storage, easy to see who needs attention. Folks that gave Cone a BIG rap back then are currently using other products, I have not asked why, don't need to. Sadly I am not able to say one way or the other if all 80ml carts are the same, I think that may just be a big bow to pull on, I spent a bit of time following this forum before I decided which way to go.īased on what I read, and was told two years ago NO, all 80 ml carts were not all the same, and the opinion at the time was that you got what you paid for, things may have changed. Trick is to have printer off when you are resetting oem chips otherwise printer remembers the old, low, ink level and writes t back on the chip.Īren't all of the 80ml cartridges the same? Seems like Cone charges a lot more for them. ![]() It does waste tank and oem cartridge chips. I bought 3880 reseetter off ebay for $40. I have to replace 5 Tanks to get back the cost of the resetter!! Bought one and its just cheaper and easier to buy a new OEM one. blocked lines and damaged print head and leaky carts.Ĭone also have a Maint tank resetter. The 3880 has a VERY forgiving print head, junk ink and shoddy carts will end up costing you heaps! e.g. STAY AWAY from "cheap"ink and carts from anywhere! Bonus was I used the OEM chips in the refill carts. I have no regrets jtoolman assisted (via this forum) with initial chip security issue, but aside of that 100%. I opted for Cone Ink and Carts two years ago.
